When I reached the hospital entrance, I spotted Ryan. “Ryan.”
I smiled and slipped back into character. He smiled at me.
“You came.”
Not going to lie, my boss looked even better when he smiled.
Delaney’s warning suddenly came back to me: “Be careful. Someone might take advantage of you.”
