Jaxen POV
Our eyes met, and I could see the anticipation in Scarlett’s sleepy gaze.
I knew what I should do.
I should straighten up, mock her for getting ahead of herself, and tell her that there was no way I was going to kiss her.
But somehow, I couldn’t straighten my back.
All I could do was remain bent toward her, her arm still looped around my neck, with my face suspended right in front of hers.
“Jaxen, don’t you usually like it when I make the first move?”
When I still didn’t move, she gave me a teasing look and tightened her arm around my neck, pulling me down into another kiss.
