“Scarlett and I are staying abroad for at least another month or two, so don’t bother coming to the old residence. You’ll be making the trip for nothing.”
Regina’s voice came through the phone.
My brows, which had already been drawn together, pulled into a tighter frown.
I couldn’t hide my displeasure.
It had been more than a week since my last visit to the old residence.
When I’d gone back today, the place had felt practically deserted.
Scarlett was nowhere to be found, and my aunt was gone too.
