I stared at the screen. If I didn’t answer, would he just keep ringing?
The doorbell sounded again. Delaney looked over.
“Who’s outside? Aren’t you going to get it?”
I turned toward her. “My annoying ex-husband.”

Delaney went right back to searching. If I opened the door, she’d disappear into her room.
