I didn’t know what else to call my relationship with Scarlett except over.
A month or two passed, and I still couldn’t let go of her.
But what good did that do me?
I’d done everything I could, both the things I should have done and the things I shouldn’t.
I could keep chasing her with no dignity left, but what was the point of making her miserable?
“You two used to be so good together…”
“At least we had something good. That means it wasn’t a complete failure.”
“So you’re seriously not interested in meeting your ex-wife’s new boyfriend?”
A few friends teased me from the side.
I glanced at the phone in one of their hands.
Scarlett’s profile picture was on the screen.
My expression barely changed as I looked away.
“I’m not going.”
“Wow. That easy to move on?”
