I'm finally back home. I'm heading out of the airport. I didn't want to let anyone know I was arriving today. I'll surprise my parents. I can't carry my own luggage because my hands haven't recovered yet, but I got help at the airport, just as they helped me when I was coming here. The person helps load my suitcase into the taxi, and I'm struggling to get some money out to tip them, but they refuse.
"Don't worry, sir. Maybe another time," they say, and I feel embarrassed.
I feel useless. Liam took care of sending my file to a renowned doctor friend of his, who will be treating me here. I didn't want to stay any longer. My time to return had come. They didn't want me to travel alone, but in the end, I insisted and managed to do it.
