A crazy idea came to us one day.
"How are things with you and Lisa?" I asked Connor, who sat across from me. The dim light of the school cafeteria illuminated the empty table.
"Yeah, the same as always. Nothing. She doesn't like me. Says I'm in love with someone else. I have no idea what that means," Connor replied.
"We're having some bad luck on the personal front, have you noticed?" I took a sip of coffee and continued, "You can forget about Ellis too. I'm not her type, as it turns out. My virginity has been successfully protected."
"You know who your type is, Mark? My Mom," Connor said and grinned oddly.
