The rest of the day was unremarkable. I spotted smoke twenty miles away, but it was a car fire, which I dutifully reported. The beach had a few people, but as I said, the water was still too cold for swimming. I ruminated upon my voyeuristic morning over and over and concluded that what consenting adults do is their business - and, noting the hypocrisy on my own part, that I apparently liked to make it my business, at least from a safe distance. At five, I lowered my cooler, put my clothes back on, and walked to the house.
Dinner was leftovers. I cleaned up, took a shower, and watched two movies on Netflix, checking the porch twice to see if the siblings were at it in the bedroom; they weren't.
