Chapter 177-1

756 Words

I stand up, roughly wiping away my tears to keep myself from being the same girl who let her be recaptured in the past. Not today. I look around, taking stock of our situation: trapped in a basement room of a huge building, in the middle of the night, and with no idea what's going on outside. We don't have any remotely reasonable options. "Do you know what's going on?" I ask Chiara. "We were just starting to set up the bar when the alarm went off. We don't know if it's the police or someone else, but this has never happened before..." "Isn't it our team?" "No. You still have time, remember?" she says, just as lost as we are. "Do you know of any way out we can take them?" "Not this way. We'll have to wait for one of them to come back and tell us who they are, since we're unarmed."
