Carmen led me past the hospital and I was warned not to alert anyone if I saw anyone. But there was no one around. Almost the whole pack was attending to the fire. And when I got a clear view of it, I saw that it wasn't just the woods that were on fire. A couple of houses had caught fire as well.
"Why would you do that to those innocent people?" I asked.
"Those houses never used to be there. I started the fire in the woods. It's not my fault that they were in the line of fire." She says.
"You know the protocol around here Carmen. There are still going to be warriors protecting this part of the border. They aren't going to leave their post for anything. In case that fire is a diversion." I say.
"It's alright. I don't plan on taking you across the border. No one will ever suspect me of
