I raised my other hand and shot a lone stream of fire in her direction but she was dodging it and I was scorching the inside of the shield. But I had her on the run long enough that I could pull my other hand forward and away from the ice shard that was keeping me stuck there.
I then placed my hand on the shield and lowered it immediately and Axel saw me lying on the ground and everyone saw Carmen was flush against a tree and she ducked around it and took off.
