Axel drove me to my mom’s house. As soon as I stepped out of the car, she rushed over and enveloped me in a bear hug. “Oh my goddess! What happened to you?” she exclaimed, her eyes widening as she took in my scratched face and arms. I glanced at Axel, who was leaning against the roof of his car, arms crossed and looking at me with curiosity. I couldn’t help but give him a small smirk, which only intrigued him more. “It was him, Mom. He did this. He was furious that I ran away and didn’t follow his orders. He made it clear that I was supposed to obey him,” I said, feigning tears as I leaned my head against my mother’s shoulder. I glanced over at Axel, who was smirking at me, shaking his head in disbelief. Mom seemed unsure how to respond. She didn’t have the courage to confront Alpha Ax
