"I told you the rule around here, Madison. If you leave the palace, you need to leave a note letting me know where you're headed," Silas reminded me firmly.
"Oh no, I completely forgot! I'm really sorry for putting you in a panic," I admitted.
"It was just a minor slip-up," he responded with a reassuring tone.
"I promise it won't happen again," I assured him as he gently placed his hand over mine.
"I'm tied up with Josiah today; I've got a kingdom to manage,” he explained.
"I get it," I replied, nodding in understanding.
"I hear Stefan will be around. You two can hang out," he suggested.
