"You could have called my name like a normal person, Fluff. You didn't have to assault me with clinic equipment in front of my staff," Mason complained, rubbing the side of his head as he followed her toward Pipkin's enclosure.
Sage pulled on a fresh pair of gloves and gave him a pointed look. "I called your name three times, Mason. I asked you about Juniper's treatment, and you stood there staring at my mouth like I'd put a damn spell on you. If I'd known your brain was that easily distracted, I'd have brought a whistle."
