“Mason carried you to the clinic. You were bleeding, and he looked like he was about to have a heart attack. Cole and Jace came running, the ambulance arrived, and everybody started acting like the world was ending.”
She swallowed.“I thought I'd lost you.”
Sage reached for her hand.
“But you didn't.”
“No, I didn't.” Harper squeezed her fingers. “And if you ever scare me like that again, I'm going to find a way to wrap you in bubble wrap. You can attend college looking like a badly packaged delivery, and I'll sleep peacefully at night.”
