Jace had been around bikers his entire life, He'd been shot at, stabbed once and dragged into bar fights he hadn't even started.
He'd dealt with rival clubs, angry cops, and enough family drama to fill a reality show.
Yet somehow, nothing had prepared him for the sight of Sage Bennett looking at him like he was a monster.
The image refused to leave his head even after he'd walked away even after she'd disappeared with Harper and after he told himself a hundred times that he shouldn't care.
It stayed in his brain, her tears and the fear in her eyes.
