Back at the Reapers Kings' mansion, Sage knew something was wrong the moment she stepped through the front door.
The usual noise was missing, no music from the garage, no argument from the kitchen and no Titan crashing around the hallway like he owned the damn building.
Even the motorcycles outside seemed quieter.
Sage dropped her bag.
“What happened?”
Harper came around the corner.
Her expression immediately told Sage it wasn't good.
“Your family has officially decided that nobody gets to have a normal Tuesday.”
Sage frowned. “What happened?”
“Axel got shot.”
Sage went still. “What?”
