Jace had barely stepped away from Declan's office when something outside the front doors caught his attention.
He had been thinking about the meeting he was going to have with the Russians, about the flight he would have to take in two days, and about the uneasy feeling sitting like a stone beneath his ribs.
Then he saw Sage. She stood beneath the porch light with a man Jace had never seen before.
For a second, Jace didn't understand what he was looking at.
