The three of them walked outside.nSage had barely stepped onto the pavement when a fist slammed into Elliott's face.
The sound made her scream. "Elliott!"
He stumbled backward, clutching his nose as blood immediately spilled between his fingers.
Sage froze then she saw him.
Cole.
He stood directly in front of Elliott, chest heaving, fury burning across his face.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Sage screamed.
Cole ignored her. He grabbed Elliott by the front of his shirt and hauled him upright.
“The next time you take her somewhere without telling anyone, I'm going to make you regret having eyes.”
“Cole!”
Elliott tried to pull his hand away but Sage shoved between them.
“Get your hands off him!”
Cole finally looked at her. “What the f**k, Sage?” His voice cracked with anger.
