Caspian The water lapped softly against my skin as I leaned back against the cool curve of the bathtub, my arms resting lazily on the edges. Ava sat in front of me, her back against my chest, her legs tucked neatly between mine. The soft glow of the bathroom light made the moment feel even more surreal — like time itself had slowed down just for us. I tilted my head, squinting toward the small window above the tub.
