Serena dropped her bag on the couch and walked further to where Rafael and I were standing. “What does that mean? You want to leave? Leave where? Haven’t you already left the company? You want to break up?”
I glanced at Rafael, then back at Serena. Their thoughts were written all over their faces and they were thinking the same thing.
Breaking up was the logical thing to do, especially in the state of mind that I was in. I could tell they were already worried about me and I didn’t want to bother them further, but I was still very selfish. They were the only good things I had in my life and I wasn’t about to lose that too.
“No. I didn’t say that. I just want to go away for a while.”
“Where to?” Rafael demanded.
“Should we sit for this?” I asked.
