“Do you think I should quit my job?” I questioned, collapsing on Lila’s bed.
I hadn’t been to work for a week and a half. Even if I didn’t quit my job, I was certain I was going to get fired soon. “And start searching for a new job? It might take a long while before you find one though.”
“I know.” I stared at her as she took off her makeup. “But apart from the fact that I can’t show my face in that company anymore, Rafael’s father has taken over and he must hate my guts. He disowned his son for dating me. I’m sure Rafael will feel betrayed if I continue to work for his father’s company.”
“True.” She took off her eyelashes. “But again, you might be jobless for a while.”
“Or I can start something up.”
