I forced my face to stay neutral and kept nodding as he spoke, but I was anything but calm inside. If what Marcus was saying was true and he was just starting to work on this, then it meant that Rafael and Nikolai did it first.
I knew that ideas overlapped, but everything couldn’t possibly be the same, could it?

As he explained, I thought back to what Nikolai said. Marcus’s company had been built on the software Nikolai’s father was working on. They had stolen it. Now it seemed like Marcus was recreating history.
