Serena Vale ~•~ Rafael left that Thursday night. Mom allowed him to stay over but according to him, he didn’t want to intrude any more than he already had. As soon as I returned on Sunday, I got a text from him. [Rafael: Are you busy tonight?] I stared at it. No greeting. No small talk. Just straight to the point. Before I could reply, he texted again. [Rafael: There’s a wine tasting event tonight. Very chill crowd. I’ll pick you up at eight.] I laughed. Why did he ask if I was busy tonight if he wouldn’t even wait to hear my answer first? [Me: what if I’m busy?] [Rafael: You’re not] I rolled my eyes but my lips curved in a smile nonetheless. He was right, but I didn’t tell him that. Instead, I texted Nikolai. [Me: Rafael invited me to a wine tasting event. Will you be there?
