I didn’t take walks often.
But with everything that had been going on in the past few weeks, I needed to clear my head. The vacation had been to do exactly that, but it ended badly.
I wasn’t famous but I now had to wear a face mask while taking a walk because I’d gone out the previous day and everyone on the street was pointing at me and gossiping loudly. I didn’t know if they didn’t know I could hear them or just didn’t care. Either way, I wasn’t looking for a repeat.
