But after seeing that Nikolai had found me, I was more than determined to get out of those ropes even more.
I still couldn’t believe he was here. I didn’t know what the time was but I could tell it wasn’t evening yet. He was supposed to be getting engaged officially. How did he manage to find me? When did he know that I was missing?
Was Rafael also here?
My hands were aching but I only increased my pace, wanting the ropes to be off as soon as possible.
Eventually, the ropes became loose and I quickly removed them from my hand. I only had one second to breathe properly before I heard a loud bang.
I instinctively jumped up, almost falling over since my legs were still tied to the chair.
