I was still sore.
It had been almost a month since our office rendezvous, but the following days after were even crazier.
I went to Rafael’s office too often that Ava was starting to get jealous. She thought the boss liked my work. If only she knew he liked something else.
I worked late nights just so I could meet up with Nikolai through Rafael’s office when everyone had left.
I spent weekdays at Rafael’s place and he dropped me off at home early in the morning before I got ready for work. Lila always side-eyed me, but said nothing about our arrangement. According to her, as long as I was happy, she was going to support whatever I did.
That could only mean she didn’t fully approve.
But she was still the first person I told when I found out I was late.
