In the logical part of my mind, I know that Caleb is fine. The sun is out, I have no idea how long I’ve been passed out. Caleb is likely in the Hall or in his office, and he’s probably fine. He hasn’t left for Gladys’s pack lands yet. I was sure. He wouldn’t do that without telling me goodbye, or this soon. Gathering my courage, I rise out of bed, ready to rush to get ready. At just that moment, Caleb walks out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. His hair is wet. He was just in the shower. Relief strikes me so fiercely that I flop back down onto the bed.
