Maybe because work was crazy at the start of the year, Alpha Damien hadn't shown up for a whole week after going back to the office.
Aria planned to contact Max from an internet cafe, but two attempts failed.
She still couldn't find him online.She even tried calling Max from a pay phone.
The number was disconnected. Max's sudden disappearance made her panic.
This had to be Damien's doing. She blamed him immediately. Only someone as cruel as him would do this.
Before Christmas, he'd written those stupid "mistress rules." One rule banned her from contacting anyone, even online.
She was angry. She wanted to storm into Rothwell Industries and confront him.
