The moment Ethan saw the cold sneer on Luna Vivienne's face, any thought of leaving vanished from his mind. He simply stared at her, waiting silently as she finished her rant, then let out a dismissive snort.
"Luna Vivienne," he said coolly, "if I remember correctly, I am also a member of the Rothwell family. When the old man died, his will made it very clear. Though my stake at Rothwell Manor is small, the cottage belongs to me. Living here doesn't bother you in the slightest. So tell me, what right do you have to kick me out?"
"So what if the cottage is yours?" Luna Vivienne snapped, her face twisted with disgust. "Take that eyesore with you when you leave. Honestly, I'm sick of looking at it. It makes the entire estate look cheap."
