The tense atmosphere between them hung like a thick fog.
Sally endured it all quietly, pretending to be happy with their arrangement.
But she was a woman, after all.
How could she possibly be content with such a hollow existence?
She loved Alpha Damien with every fiber of her being, a love so deep it sometimes felt like drowning.
Now that she'd finally mated him, how could she bear seeing another woman occupy his thoughts and his company?
Both she and Aria were pregnant, but no one could guarantee that Aria's baby was Damien's.
Yet here he was, taking Aria shopping for baby supplies and bringing her to this fancy restaurant for lunch.
