Alpha Damien's face twisted with anger at Aria's words.
Her statement had hit a nerve. She'd cut right through his defenses.
Yes, he resented her.
He hated her defiance, her stubborn refusal to submit, and how she seemed to always want Ethan while barely noticing him.
But wasn't she also the reason he felt anything at all?
"Are you serious right now, Aria?" Alpha Damien moved closer, pushing her against the sofa arm.
His face came dangerously close to hers, his hot breath touching her skin. "You actually think I'd send someone to kidnap and hurt you?"
Aria stared back at his furious expression.
His fists were clenched, trembling with anger, but she couldn't understand what had made him so mad.
