Maybe the Moon Goddess heard Aria's prayer, because Alpha Damien really didn't bother her again.
She heard the bedroom door open and close, then heavy footsteps going downstairs.
Alpha Damien had finally left.
Aria's tense body slowly relaxed. She put her hand on her chest and sighed with relief. She had dodged a bullet.
She got out of bed and put on her nightgown. She yawned.
With Alpha Damien gone, she could finally sleep peacefully. Living alone meant she could sleep as late as she wanted.
Honestly, she hated this empty life. But what choice did she have?
Without ID papers, she couldn't leave New York. She definitely couldn't get a job.
