Abril felt uncomfortable with so many jewels on her, so she took them all off, except for the pendant with her mother's portrait that the queen had given her. She changed out of the ostentatious dress into a comfortable nightgown. Then she returned to the sofa where Alessandro was playing with Lissana. He had thought that once they returned home, she would feel more at ease, but that was not the case.
"What’s wrong, Aby? You look worried."
"It's about Lissana. There's something I need to tell you."
Alessandro started to worry upon hearing the serious tone in Abril's voice.
"What’s wrong, Aby? You’re worrying me."
"The elven queen told me something that concerns me. It's about the immense power Lissana has. Apparently, her small body can't handle so much power."
