Kiara had followed Barto, but when she saw him starting to walk away, she hid, not wanting to be seen in such a pathetic state. Barto passed by, and Kiara stayed hidden a bit longer to ensure she wouldn't be discovered. When she emerged from her hiding spot, she saw that girl being embraced by Cassian and unintentionally overheard their conversation. This cleared up all her doubts. When they left, Kiara heard Barto's voice behind her saying, "After what you've seen, do you believe me now?"
Kiara jumped at the sound of his voice, as she hadn't noticed his presence. "Don't scare me like that!"
"Then don't hide."
Kiara was still somewhat upset, though she wasn't sure why. She pushed him and said, "Don't come so close."
