Cassiel was on his way to see the fairy queen when Tarik blocked his path.
"What's up, fairy child?"
"You haven't been back to the human world since the war ended. I thought you'd help bring Lissana's father back."
"And I plan to, but I don't think this is the best time."
"Lissana must be having a hard time; couldn't you leave and come back quickly?"
"Time isn't flowing correctly here. Until Leriana stabilizes, I can't leave."
Tarik left very upset. The fairy queen wasn't someone weak; she didn't need to be protected. As far back as Tarik could remember, he had never seen the fairy queen sick. He wondered what kind of illness could weaken her so much.
