When Maya awoke, she found herself lying on a bed of flowers. She looked around and saw no one; she was completely alone. Yet, she knew where she was—the land of the fairies, in the healing room. Maya tried to get up, but her body felt heavy. Despite the effort it took, she forced herself to stand; she had to find Cassian and make sure he was alright.
Maya was about to open the door when it swung open by itself. It was the Fairy Queen.
"You are not well yet; you should be resting. Go back to bed."
