Katherine surprised him with all her questions about this side of himself that he had taken more than three-quarters of his life despising. He lived it- was born into it and still found himself in a mindful of chaos until he had no other option but to accept what he was.
Oscar remembers the pain. Excruciating pain for one week when he tried to resist the blood at first. Annoying pain. Gnawing away at his insides. Feeling yourself drying up from the inside and no amounts of water could quench the thirst. Until one night as he lay dying a maid was sent up to him and the sound of her heartbeat sent him into a frenzy. Not to mention the scent of her blood oozing from a wound on her neck.
It was a beautiful sight. She tasted... sweet.
