Running through the forest with the sounds of pursuit hot on our trail, I find myself huffing and puffing for breath. Kendrik had sent a link out to the entire pack that if we were captured, he would promote the wolves that caught us. We’d managed to make it halfway through the forest, heading towards the cabin, when someone had spotted Matias, prompting us to run.
Matias had been blocked from the link since he helped me escape, but no one knew Glinda was helping us, so she could keep up with the open pack link. This was helpful, as members of Snarling Lox who were looking to gain that promotion kept updating everyone on our position. It soon became apparent that they were trying to funnel us back to the packhouse and force us into Kendrik’s grasp.
