Sitting in the examination room with Sadie and Selane watching over the nurses who collect my blood, I can’t help but stare at the many informational posters on the wall. In Snarling Lox, I was never allowed near the pack infirmary, with Kendrik stating I deserved my injuries and would not receive medical treatment for them.
“I’m sending these to the lab to confirm your pregnancy, but we will need to do a full physical to determine your current health,” the nurse, Sarah, states with a soft voice as she hands off the vials of blood to the wolf waiting behind her.
