Someone screaming my name catches my attention as gasps and screams call out from Ember’s direction. I had left her in the care of Alpha Liora, thinking my mate would be safe with the strong alpha she-wolf, but something had happened to her—I felt it in the bond.
Pushing past the guests, I make my way towards my mate. The need to find and protect her is so strong that I have to fight back a shift. Someone better not have tried to harm her, or Goddess help them.
