ALICE POV The forest felt like a whisper, soft and still, blanketed in moonlight. I walked barefoot, feeling the cool earth beneath me, and Alex's oversized t-shirt was loose around my shoulders, brushing against my skin with each step. Somehow, the familiar fabric grounded me, kept me connected to something real as I wandered into the dream. It was strange, how familiar this place felt. The soft crunch of leaves underfoot, the distant hoot of an owl, the faint scent of pine and damp moss—it was like coming home. And yet, there was a stillness in the air, a weight that didn’t quite belong to this world. The trees parted up ahead, and I stepped into a clearing bathed in silver light. The lake stretched out before me, its water clear and blue even in the dark, reflecting the stars above
