Lysander spilled it all, names, some dates, the routes, the dungeons where some of the girls were kept. The words tumbled out of his mouth in a desperate, rambling torrent, his voice shaking as if the very act of revealing the truth was a punishment in itself. He wasn’t just confessing—he was drowning in his guilt, but he also feared the consequences of his betrayal. His body trembled, a mixture of horror and anticipation of what was to come. He knew the end was near, but it didn’t make the confession any easier. The dam had burst, and everything he’d kept hidden for so long was spilling into the open.
