Jay walks out of the living room and sees Cree standing in the hallway with her ear pressed against Edee’s bedroom. He knew things didn’t go the way Edee wanted because she slammed the door to her room. “I might as well ask.” He mumbles, shakes his head, and pulls Cree away from the door.
