My heart was pounding in my chest. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. Hearing Prez had been hit, had me worried about Mike. Him losing his dad would break him. Mike is my future president. I have to watch out for him. Our dads drilled it into each other from a young age to watch out for each other. But I don’t think that was what was making me feel like I couldn’t breathe.
It was hard to get to Prez. Flex was not sounding off their location. Mike was all but screaming into the earpiece wanting eyes on Prez and his team. Smoke had filled the warehouse thanks to the earlier explosion, and it made it damn near impossible to see anything.
