“Excuse me?” Nailah asked. “Really?” “Yeah,” Gus nodded. “Just knowing that he is anyway related to you will prevent Clay from making a move.” Nailah looked at him in disbelief. While she had great respect for her uncle, she didn’t see how simply associating with him could protect her. “Just who is her uncle?” Fin asked, confused. Nailah smiled, “Gus DaLair. He was my father’s CO when they served together.” “Did you say DaLair!” a voice bellowed from the door. They turned to see Ronin and Deirdre standing in the doorway, mouths open in disbelief.
