I was secretly thrilled that Wendy chose to sleep outside with me last night. I gave her the option to use the pull-down cots that are attached to the sides of the van. They are terribly uncomfortable, but if you’re tired enough, it doesn’t matter.
However, she said she feels safer when she’s close to me, which made me feel like the f*****g king of the world. Then, she’d crawled into my sleeping bag and fallen into a deep sleep in my arms. Best f*****g job ever!
