‘Hey, where are you?’ Wendy’s asks in mind link. I’ve just spent the last couple of hours going over what’s been happening at the Academy with Connor, Quirin, and Henry. They’re ready to go straight to the Board and the Council, but I told them to wait.
‘My room. I'm about to get on a call with the Academy’s IT team. You want to join me?’ I ask. She’s done a lot of the prep work that has helped me get the information that I needed. If she wants to see where this is going, I’ll let her.
‘On my way,’ she says and a moment later there’s a knock at my door.
“Come in, Wendy,” I say as I dial into the meeting that Hacker sent me earlier. I turn making sure it’s her before turning back to my computer.
