While my mother helps me to get Philip settled on the bed holding Nicolette’s hand, Lunas Kennedy and Yara do whatever they need to do to pull my mate out of her medically induced coma. They talk softly while my mother distracts Philip, and I stare at my mate. I’m hopeful that she’ll remain calm when she wakes since Philip is right here.
I reach out and lay my hand on her arm, gently rubbing my thumb over her skin.
Just as Philip asks for the twentieth time when she’s going to wake up, I see her eyes begin to flutter.
