I am very excited to finally move to the Academy. As much as I love my parents, I’m ready to spread my wings and start my own life. Now, since I’ll be at the Academy, if I decide to work in Jude’s room, I won’t have a curfew and if I happen to sleep in his room, no one except the two of us will know.
The closer I get to my birthday, the closer I feel to him. I really, really hope that we’re mates. I feel like I’ll be devastated if we’re not.
The next morning, I meet Jude, Sadique, and Zach at the Academy’s cafeteria. I told my mom I was moving to the Academy today, but not my dad.
